Visiting Europe may be a daunting task for those who get the privilege to do so for the first time. But being a first time European traveler shouldn’t scare you not intimidate you. There may be limitations especially if you are traveling on a budget or if you’re traveling on a limited time but you can always make the most of what you have. It would help if you have a list of countries and places to go before you leave.
To help you jump start your list here are the must-see places that you shouldn’t miss given your limitations:
Paris. A day or two in this City of Lights will surely make you realize how beautiful and historic Paris is. Spend your first day walking from one tourist spot to another. With a map on hand, you will surely see a lot like the Eiffel Tower, the Louvre, Arc de Triomphe, Hotel Invalides and the Grand Palace. Don’t be afraid to ask directions from the numerous police scattered all over the city because they are more than willing to help.
Rome, Vatican and Venice. Italy as a country is really a must see. With warm and friendly Italians ever ready to show you directions and give you tips on how to get from one place to another, you couldn’t possibly get lost. If you do get lost, just ask around and you will find your way eventually. The Eternal City – Rome- has the Colosseum, Vatican City, Pantheon, Spanish Steps and the Trevi Fountain. If you are religious then the Vatican is only a few subway stops away. On your third day, you can head off to Venice via bullet train and explore the romantic city of Venice. If you have enough money to spare, then ride a gondola if not the water bus will get you around the city as well.
Amsterdam. The Capital city of the Netherlands is quite small so a day tour here is enough. Take the boat tour to help you get familiar with the city and its history.
Europe is such a great place that three weeks of exploring it is not enough and these suggested places are great starting points in your travel.
